THE GOLDEN SQUARE MILE

CULTURE AND MODERNITY

With a surface area of exactly one square mile, this rich source of Canadian life and culture is bordered by Guy Street to the west, René-Lévesque Boulevard to the south, Bleury Street to the east, and the base of Mount-Royal to the north. Flanking the museum, an ephemeral park space provides a colourful rest area for people strolling along Sherbrooke street. This beautiful little spot is reminiscent of the many urban garden initiatives in the neighbourhood, including around the Concordia University campus, on de Maisonneuve street.

A NEIGHBOURHOOD THAT COMMEMORATES
THE PAST & CELEBRATES THE FUTURE

It only makes sense that an address unlike any other is situated in a neighbourhood of legendary fame. In the heart of the Golden Square Mile, Le Sherbrooke acts as an elegant threshold between the mountain and downtown Montreal. The Golden Square Mile is both picturesque and prestigious - a historic home to the nation's foremost leaders, founding barons and magnates with streetscapes adorned by grand mansions, Greystones, and historical buildings.

Taking inspiration from this area's refined cultural and architectural heritage, Broccolini collaborated with an architectural historian to meticulously recreate Sherbrooke street's historic charm. The desired design was to pay homage to the past, creating a very elegant statement that harmonizes with the prestigious buildings on Sherbrooke street, yet elevates its essence into the future.

Styled with a modern design, the building will use the very same heritage stones - of limestone and granite upon which the Golden Square Mile built its Prestige. Meanwhile the conservatory reflects the opulent mansions, featuring grandiose glass-encased rooms.
